Are you a high-level accounting professional who thrives in the fast-paced world of logistics and distribution? We are a premier produce operations hub in the Lantana Agricultural Reserve seeking an Accounting Operations Lead to professionalize and scale our financial department. This is not a "data entry" role. We are looking for a Department Architect—someone with the technical grit to master our Famous (Oracle-based) ERP, the discipline to enforce strict internal controls, and the communication skills to bridge the gap between our executive suite and our Spanish-speaking warehouse team.
Core Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the full accounting cycle. You will be responsible for turning "clunky" processes into a streamlined, audit-ready machine.
- Famous ERP Leadership: Serve as the Power User for Famous Software. You will manage the flow of data across inventory, sales, and purchasing to ensure real-time financial accuracy.
- The 3-Way Match: Oversee the rigorous verification of Purchase Orders (POs) against Warehouse Receiving Tickets (BOLs) and Vendor Invoices to eliminate overpayments and stop inventory leakage.
- Fraud Prevention: Manage daily check runs and electronic payments (ACH/Wire) using Positive Pay systems to protect the company’s liquidity and financial integrity.
- Compliance & Lien Law: Maintain the internal Lien Log and oversee the Notice to Owner (NTO) process to ensure all receivables are legally protected under Florida statutes.
- Inventory & Spoilage Control: Reconcile physical counts with accounting records, tracking product spoilage and "short-pay" adjustments to ensure the General Ledger is 100% accurate.
- bilingual Communication: Act as the primary English/Spanish liaison for vendor relations and internal staff coordination.
- Experience: 7+ years in Senior Bookkeeping, AP Management, or Assistant Controllership.
- Industry DNA: Previous experience in Produce, Agriculture, or Heavy Construction is highly preferred.
- Software: Mastery of Famous, Oracle, SAP, or Sage is required.
- bilingual: Professional fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
