We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Staff Accountant to join an accounting team in Coral Springs. This is a critical "Team Lead" transition role designed to ensure operational continuity and financial precision during a key leadership leave.
The Impact You’ll Make:
- Technical Lead: Take full ownership of ACH, Remittances, and Monthly Commissions, the heartbeat of our financial operations.
- Data Integration: Use Advanced Excel (vLookups & Pivot Tables) to manage complex portal uploads and data reconciliations.
- System Expert: Maintain the integrity of our QuickBooks Online (QBO) environment, ensuring seamless month-end closes.
- Bridge the Gap: Work closely with our outgoing Team Lead to master our workflow and provide "Resilience" to the executive team.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of core accounting experience (Senior or Lead level).
- Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in QBO and Excel.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting strongly preferred.
- Reliability: A meticulous eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Hours: Mon–Thu: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Fri: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Location: Modern office in Coral Springs, FL.
- Immediate Start: We are looking to begin cross-training ASAP.

Key Responsibilities
1. High-Volume Financial Operations (The #1 Priority)
- ACH & Remittance Management: Execute and reconcile all outgoing ACH payments and incoming remittances with 100% accuracy.
- Commission Processing: Manage the calculation and disbursement of monthly commissions, ensuring alignment with internal performance metrics and contract terms.
- Daily Cash Positioning: Monitor cash flow activities to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations.
- QBO Administration: Maintain the integrity of the QuickBooks Online ledger, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account classifications.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end closing process by preparing financial statements and ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled.
- Audit Readiness: Ensure all financial documentation is organized and compliant for internal reviews or external audits.
- Portal Integration: Utilize Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables & vLookups) to manipulate large datasets for seamless upload into proprietary portals.
- Variance Analysis: Identify and investigate discrepancies between actuals and budgets, providing clear explanations to the CFO.
- Reporting: Generate weekly financial snapshots for the executive team to track the health of recovery operations.
