We are seeking a highly technical and detail-oriented Payment Posting Specialist to join our revenue cycle team. This role is designed for a self-starter who possesses a deep understanding of the complexities inherent in healthcare reimbursement and thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will not only post payments but also serve as a critical eye for data integrity and process improvement.



salary: $24 - $28 per hour

Responsibilities

• Industry Tenure: 3–5 years of dedicated experience in healthcare payment posting (both manual and electronic).
  
  
• Technical Mastery: strong knowledge of EOBs, EFTs, ERAs, and COB, with the ability to interpret 835 files with ease.
  
  
• Payer Expertise: Deep understanding of rules across Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and Workers' Comp.
  
  
• Accounting Logic: Familiarity with contractual adjustments, proration logic, and secondary/tertiary payment rules.
  
  
• Problem Solving: Prior experience with complex denial resolutions and the reconciliation of unapplied payments.
  
  
• Systems: Proficiency in Interactant (HCS), WellSky, or similar EMR/payment posting platforms.
