Responsibilities
Assist in the set-up, run, and monitor any one of the slitting machines. Ensures machine is producing a quality product in a timely fashion. Efficiently performs set-up, running, monitoring, and troubleshooting (as required) of all the slitting machines. Exercises strong working knowledge about the defects associated with Finished Goods materials and can make all required judgements as to a film’s quality and usability. Prepares slitting documents, core-tags, box labels and quality documents and training documents without immediate supervision. Assists in the packaging of materials when needed including making boxes, packaging material, stacking packaged material on pallets, and moving pallets of completed film. Provides regular suggestions and feedback to Slitting supervisor concerning department problems, process improvements, machine operation and safety hazards.
