Responsibilities
Summary: This role is responsible for creating CAM programs necessary to convert engineering design drawings into finished parts. The position has responsibility to create single custom programs and also work within existing programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1. Develop CNC code to support 3, 4 and 5 axis milling machines by using Siemens NX and Teamcenter CAM software
2. Verify NC code using Vericut
3. Create cutting sequences, tool selections and production strategy
4. Maintain organized filing structure to adhere to organizational guidelines
5. Maintain a safe and highly organized work area using established 5S practices
Computer Skills:
Must be proficient with CAM. The preferred software is Siemens NX and Teamcenter CAM software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required. CAD experience in Solidworks is a plus. Manufacturing experience with SAP is a plus.
Geometry, Trigonometry, and advanced measuring techniques; calc mill speed, etc
The essential functions of this role include:
- working in a smoke free environment
- wearing steel toe shoes
- manual lifting up to 50lbs
- standing for 8 hours at one time
