The Senior Quality Engineer will provide experienced quality assurance support to production, and supply chain processes to ensure the outputs are free of defects and meeting all customer requirements. He or she will be responsible to further develop the supplier qualification and evaluation/audit process. Travel to or direct contact with suppliers via supply chain and purchasing is a specialty role, while supporting the Quality Assurance of the outputs of manufacturing and internal processes is the focus.   location: POMPANO BEACH, Florida job type: Permanent salary: $70,000 - 85,000 per year work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors   responsibilities: Supplier Focus Work closely with purchasing and suppliers to further develop existing suppliers, seek and evaluate new supplier options. Act as MRB for supplier related dispositions. Internal Focus Research and write procedures for the Quality Assurance Department along with any special processes that would contribute to the quality of a completed part and/or assembly.Use methodologies of problem solving (8D, DMAIC, root cause analysis, etc.) to resolve issues related to product or process quality.Controls of nonconforming materials. Responds quickly to root cause orders on hold due to non-conformities.Identify and execute of quality improvements in manufacturing space, utilizing new technologies, methods and equipment to ensure all goods leaving the facility are in compliance with quality standards.Confer with engineering, production, methods or any other required parties on quality problems and recommend solutions.Upholds the requirements of ISO 9001:2015; involved with both internal and external audits from an ISO registrar or customer.Recommend new methods / instrumentation / equipment for use in quality assessment of manufactured articlesAbility to support quality production of any/all product line(s) including valve assembly and/or failures that may occur.
