salary: $20 - $28 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 5:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Work Instructions's to determine specific welding requirements
• Weld horizontal, veritcal, and overhead positions
• Position and Clamp parts together in fixtures
• Accurately count all peices to ensure quality control of parts prior to welding
• Operate welding equipment according to operating manual
• Complete required paperwork in correct and timely manner
• Operate hoist and power lift stand
• Load and unload jigs
• Perform leak testing checks on finished welding products
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions exactly as written to produce a quality product.
• Fabricate components for use in a solid oxide fuel cell electrical pwer generator
• Maintain all machine shop equipment and 5S upkeep
• Notify management of shop consumables (i.e. cutting oils,welding gasses, tooling and bits, etc) in order to miantain inventories
• Create assembly and fabrication fixtures
• Address and recommend improved methods for creating hardware and assemblies
• Perform other job duties

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 40lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
