Responsibilities

Employees in this role will be cross-trained across several different manufacturing activities including molding, finishing and final assembly. No specific prior experience is required although candidates must be dexterous with their hands and comfortable with basic hand and power tools.

There are several goals in this stage of the production process: smooth out any uneven edges resulting form material shrinkage during the molding process, remove tool marks, chatter, and sharp edges which were not addressed during pre-sanding, and remove any excess material as marked by the molding team. 

Employees must be able to read an order ticket or visually inspect a product and determine which steps must be taken to complete the product and move it forward in the production process. Once work is completed on each product, employees must take a moment to review the product to ensure they completed all necessary tasks and to ensure the quality of their workmanship
