Responsibilities
- Assign and direct employees to workstations to meet production goals
- Train employees on safety, quality, processes, and equipment operations
- Perform equipment setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
- Manage shift scheduling and daily production reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
- Support changeovers and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain 5S and enforce safety protocols
- Works under minimal supervision
- Handles non-routine tasks and problem-solving
- Acts as a trainer and mentor for team members
- Knowledge of manufacturing production equipment and processes (preferably duct/fiberglass)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MAPICS or similar ERP systems
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members
- Able to read production schedules and technical documentation
- Skilled in precise measurements, mechanical troubleshooting, and equipment operation
- strong communication (verbal and written), organization, and time management skills
- Attention to detail, integrity, and sound judgment
- Ability to operate a forklift (training and certification provided)
- Commitment to following company safety and quality policies
- 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience
- At least 1 year in a lead or trainer role
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Vocational training or technical certifications preferred
