Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
- On all arriving vehicles, thoroughly and accurately survey vehicles, according to customer standards, for damage or shortage.
- Properly document and sticker damages, as well as complete manufacturer’s survey form if necessary.
- Reconcile the survey with the survey results of independent survey companies, if necessary.
- Document warehouse and warranty damages occurring in their assigned area. Also note any quality deficiencies as they occur.
- Complete audits of handling vehicles, installations or other operations as requested.
- In accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, inspect the proper installation of all accessories completed by the Production Shop; and inspect body and paint work completed by the Body Shop.
- Report to the QC Manager and Shop Manager recurrent or serious deficiencies as they occur.
- Provide timely and accurate information as necessary to other departments or Port Representatives regarding damages, defects, or shortages.
- Ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
