Responsibilities

• Operates Delkor machine according to procedure in a food environment
• Assures proper operation of stacking equipment, and overhead case transfers preceding the packing.
• Salvages damaged products
• When changing from one size/flavor to another size/flavor, the packer seals and records the number of all unused  containers and returns unused portions to their proper storage location in the Dry Storage Warehouse.
• Records the number of cartons packed on the production run sheet.
• The ability to operate a mechanical pallet jack, and an electric pallet jack in order to compile the packaging materials, the products to be packaged.
• Completely clean the Delkor machinery including parts, fittings, conveyors, and surrounding areas.
• Fulfill all assignments as given by the Master Safety/Sanitation Program.
• Check to assure that all products packaged have the correct code date and are packaged in the correct carton.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a Production Supervisor.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
