Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical issues on specialized food processing equipment, including mixers, fryers, steam cookers, and high-speed packaging machines (baggers, sealers).
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Performing scheduled inspections and services to prevent downtime. This includes checking motors, sensors, and control panels.
- Electrical Systems: Working with 3-phase power (480V), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)—specifically troubleshooting ladder logic or replacing faulty I/O modules.
- Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and OSHA safety regulations.
- Food Safety: Maintaining "sanitary" maintenance standards, ensuring no tools or debris contaminate the food production area (following Good Manufacturing Practices or GMPs).
