Key Responsibilities
- Unloading & Staging: Operate sit-down or stand-up forklifts (Hi-Lo) to unload inbound shipments from trailers and containers.
- Inventory Verification: Audit incoming pallets for accuracy, checking for damaged goods and ensuring quantities match the Bill of Lading (BOL).
- Put-away: Transport received materials to high-bay racking or floor storage using reach trucks or cherry pickers.
- Documentation: Utilize RF scanners to update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and process receiving paperwork.
- Safety & Maintenance: Perform daily pre-operation equipment inspections and maintain a clean, organized receiving dock.
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA-compliant).
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse receiving environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with RF scanners and basic computer entry.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
- Availability: Ability to work in varying weather conditions (on the dock) and flexibility for overtime as needed.
