Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and drill presses.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Measure, mark, and machine materials to precise specifications using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for each job.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Work closely with engineers and production staff to refine parts and improve processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a manual machinist in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
- Proficiency with manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other traditional machining tools.
- Solid blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
- Knowledge of metals, plastics, and other common machining materials.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances and perform high-precision work.

This role focuses on precision manual machining to fabricate, modify, and repair components for a variety of industrial applications. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating traditional machining equipment and capable of working to tight tolerances.
