We’re looking for an experienced Air Freight Operations Agent to drive our Break Bulk team. If you have 1+ years in freight forwarding, know your way around Air Waybills, and can navigate Ground Handling Agents with ease, we want you. This in-person role focuses on documentation, terminal invoicing, and carrier coordination. Must be able to work weekends. Responsibilities
- Shipment Management: Monitor group email for "Pre-Alerts" to initiate new shipment files. Create physical folders for each shipment and track progress from arrival to dispatch.
- Communication: Coordinate daily with JFK airline agents and Nippon’s tracking/trucking partners to schedule cargo pickups.
- Financial Oversight: Verify that all import fees and customs charges are paid. Issue invoices for terminal charges to customers or coordinate with CSR agents for billing.
- Documentation: Print arrival notices and handle all necessary air freight documentation (Air Waybills, etc.).
- Warehouse Liaison: Monitor freight arrival at the warehouse and ensure all "Ground Handling Agent" protocols are followed.
