Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Facility & EHS Director oversees all aspects of facility operations, environmental health and safety (EHS), maintenance, housekeeping, and shipping/receiving functions. This role ensures that the physical plant, equipment, and work environment support operational goals while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements. The Director provides strategic leadership, manages departmental staff, and ensures efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations Management
- Oversee the planning, operation, and maintenance of all buildings, grounds, utilities, and infrastructure.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term facility improvement plans.
- Manage space planning, equipment layout, and facility expansion or renovation projects.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure high-quality work and cost-effective solutions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead workplace hazard assessments, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses.
- Drive a strong safety culture through training, communication, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain required documentation, permits, reporting, and compliance records.
