About the Opportunity Randstad is proud to partner with a long-standing manufacturing leader in Hauppauge, NY, to find a skilled Maintenance Mechanic. Our client has been a staple in the specialized rubber and silicone industry for over 50 years, offering a stable, family-oriented work environment and a commitment to precision manufacturing.
This is a direct-hire role, meaning you will be a permanent employee of our client from day one.
salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled inspections and tuning of industrial machinery, including pneumatic systems and conveyor lines.
- Mechanical Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in real-time by observing equipment in operation and using diagnostic tools.
- Repairs & Installs: Disassemble equipment to repair or replace defective parts; assist with the installation of new machinery.
- Fabrication: Use machine shop tools (drills, grinders, etc.) to modify parts or create custom solutions for equipment fixes.
- Safety & GMP: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
