We are seeking a high-caliber CNC Spring Coiler with expert-level mastery of Shinko platforms to lead complex, from-scratch setups and programming. This is a role for a technical lead who understands the nuance of spring geometry—from compression and extension to complex torsion—and can navigate the specific behavioral traits of Music Wire, Stainless, and Inconel. If you have 3–5+ years of experience holding tight tolerances on Shinko equipment and take pride in managing the full production lifecycle, we want your expertise. A relocation package may be available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Expert Setup & Programming: Perform complex setups and programming on Shinko CNC Coilers from scratch based on blueprints and technical drawings. Shinko CNC Coiler experienced is REQUIRED.

Process Optimization & Production: Determine efficient manufacturing sequences, tooling, and wire requirements. Oversee secondary processes including stress relief (ovens), grinding, shot peening, and set removal to ensure all mechanical standards are met.

Quality Control & Maintenance: Conduct First Article and in-process checks using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and force testers. Diagnose malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance on Shinko equipment to minimize downtime and scrap.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: 3–5+ years in CNC Spring Coiling, specifically with Shinko platforms.
  
  
• Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of spring geometry (compression, extension, torsion), GD&T, and material behavior (Music Wire, Stainless, Inconel).
  
  
• Math Proficiency: Expert shop math skills, including spring rates, initial tension, and load requirements.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods, manual dexterity for fine wire/tools, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
