What You Will Do

Optical & Physical Testing: You will spend the majority of your time (65%) using an OTDR to test fiber transmission capability and measure attenuation.

Technical Preparation: You will carefully strip, clean, and splice delicate optical fibers into test tubes, requiring high finger dexterity.

Quality Documentation: You will verify factory orders, check product specifications (including diameter and armor continuity), and record all data accurately into the SAP Production Tracking system.

Material Handling: This is an active role that involves moving heavy cable reels and prepping them for the lagging area

Responsibilities
The Final Inspector is responsible for performing final physical and optical tests on all completed cable products to ensure they meet manufacturing specifications. Primary duties include moving heavy cable reels to the workstation, verifying factory orders, and preparing cable ends by stripping and cleaning optical fibers for testing with an OTDR. Throughout the process, the inspector measures transmission capability, checks dimensions such as cable diameter and armor continuity, and records all data into the SAP Production Tracking system. Additionally, the role involves completing all required certification documentation, laminating test data, and moving finished reels to the lagging area while adhering to 5S safety and housekeeping standards
