Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Setup & Operation: Set up and run Mori Seiki NL1500 SY CNC lathes with live tooling. Install/align fixtures, prove out new/repeat jobs, and edit programs (G-code) as needed.
  
  
• Quality Control: Produce high-quality, close-tolerance parts. Utilize gauges and inspection equipment to ensure precision.
  
  
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Maintain machine tooling and troubleshoot minor shop issues to sustain production rates.
  
  
• Workflow Management: Follow job routers/travelers and perform deburring and secondary tasks as required.
  
  
• Safety & 5S: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace. Support continuous improvement and notify leadership of efficiency or quality issues.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ years of CNC machining experience (Swiss turn experience is a plus).
  
  
• Technical Skills: Proficient in blueprint reading, machine controls, tool offsets, and machining best practices.
  
  
• Soft Skills: strong analytical problem-solving, ability to work independently or in a team, and the capacity to produce quality work under tight deadlines.
  
  
• Mindset: Focused, positive, and dedicated to 5S principles.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for 9+ hours per day.
  
  
• Capability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  
  
• Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
