Own the uptime, reliability, and optimization of our proprietary post-processing systems (custom industrial washing, drying, and water filtration machinery). This is a 100% hands-on, execution-driven role for an elite tech who can diagnose complex machinery, build physical fixes, and mentor junior technicians without the burden of formal administrative management.
Key Responsibilities
- System Reliability: Lead preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting for custom washing, high-speed drying, and water treatment systems.
- Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot complex mechanical, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems to maximize production uptime.
- Controls & Automation: Use electrical and PLC knowledge to diagnose sensors, pumps, heating elements, and automated sequences.
- R&D Collaboration: Partner with the engineering team to turn prototype systems into rugged, production-ready machinery.
- Team Mentorship: Act as the technical floor authority and quality gatekeeper for junior technicians.
- Standardization: Maintain clear SOPs, maintenance logs, and spare-parts inventories.
- 4+ Years Experience: Proven track record maintaining fluid-based industrial machinery (commercial washers/dryers, RO systems, or chemical processing equipment).
- Electro-Mechanical Expertise: Advanced ability to read schematics and troubleshoot 3-phase power, control circuits, pneumatics, and PLCs.
- Fabrication Skills: Comfortable building custom fixes; welding, machining, or basic rigging experience is a plus.
- Root-Cause Mindset: Focused on upgrading equipment to prevent repeat failures rather than just swapping parts.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the design, prototyping, and implementation of next-generation washing and drying systems for 3D-printed footwear
- Serve as the company's go-to expert for anything related to water treatment, washing machine technologies, and drying systems
- Develop and implement reliable, scalable, and efficient processes to improve drying speed, energy usage, and cleaning effectiveness
- Act as technical mentor and quality gatekeeper for a team of younger engineers – not managing them, but ensuring engineering excellence
- Stay deeply hands-on: test, iterate, and refine prototypes and systems
- Collaborate closely with production, hardware, and material teams to align system design with real-world constraints and opportunities
- Keep up to date with industry best practices, technologies, and innovations and apply them pragmatically
- Ensure all developments are well-documented, tested, and ready to scale
