We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to work supporting for Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Utilization Managment.

MUST HOLD CURRENT VIRGINIA MD LICENSE

100 % Remote

Duties

Candidate will be working with another full-time LTSS Medical Director and a 15-member internal HCBS UM Team.

The candidate will be reviewing HCBS authorization requests for medical necessity.

Average expected case volume 28 - 35 reviews per day and ensure compliance with Federally mandated turnaround times.

Ideal candidate will have experience working with Medicaid and Medicare members with complex medical and social needs.

Requirements:

This position requires the candiate to have an active unrestricted Virginia medical license (MD or DO) in good standing.

Board certification is required through the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

6 month contract to start!

Work hours: 9am to 5pm (preferred) with weekend work required.

Never over 40 hours.

Can work a 100% flex schedule if necessary
