Facilitates and provides support to bridge the gap between people, processes, clinical information and technology in the inpatient and/or ambulatory settings. Promotes the optimal, efficient and effective use of clinical information systems and technology as it relates to patient care, patient safety, user satisfaction, clinical productivity and quality outcomes

responsibilities:
-Leads basic or moderately complex projects/activities on a semi-regular basis. Conducts analysis of clinical and organizational needs.
-Makes recommendations to management on new processes, tools and techniques, or development of new products and services.
-Works with clinicians to clarify and plan for their current and future technology needs. Determines and maps existing business processes/functions and recommends changes required to fit a tightly integrated system.
Makes decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group; provides guidance to assist staff on non-routine or escalated issues.
-Participates in the development of organizational policies and initiatives related to collecting, managing, and communicating clinical information.
-Ensure information systems policies, procedures and technologies comply with applicable laws and regulations.
-Designs and delivers training materials to educate users about information technologies.
-Leads/facilitates workgroups charged with defining design options and making design recommendations. Recruits' clinicians for work groups and meets with clinicians for competency validation. Prepares and communicates reports for leadership regarding the status of projects. Participates in creating scenarios, test scripts and conducting user acceptance reviews.
-Resolves complex or sensitive issues or problems related to project(s). Integrates, coordinates, and plans resources to achieve strategic goals.
-Provides subject-matter expertise of Health Ministry processes, policies and requirements in support of functional area process design, testing and implementation
-Identifies opportunities for process improvement and makes recommendations that lead to improvements
- Will need to work on local order set/EHR updates.
qualifications:
Skills/Experience:
-Strong Cerner background including orders work.
-Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
-Must have an understanding of data collected and used in electronic medical records, and experience navigating EMRs.
-Knowledge and experience with ambulatory and acute clinical workflows and clinical information systems.
-Experience with healthcare/clinical terminologies and code-sets that comprise measure value sets including SNOMED CT™, LOINC, ICD9-10, CPT4/HCPCS, RxNorm, CVX and other code systems
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in clinical informatics, healthcare or related technology field
-Must have training experience and strong CI and customer service skills.
