responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for managing technology sourcing activities including RFPs, contract negotiations and establishing new vendor relationships in support of requirements from stakeholders. These requirements are largely for global, corporate-wide requirements with stakeholders based in the US (mostly) and in other regions. In addition to sourcing skills this role requires strong organization and prioritization skills in order to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role is expected to work independently and lead the sourcing process with stakeholders & vendors, working with ELC's legal department as needed to negotiate contractual agreements. Key stakeholders will include be in the eCommerce and Retail areas but could include other areas of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Procurement of large dollar ($500k-$5MM) IT contracts largely for Software and IT Services, with some IT Hardware and Telecom/Network requirements.
- Negotiate strong contracts to optimize cost, reduce risk and enhance the company's agility both globally and locally. Working in partnership with Legal for new master agreements.
- Find and execute cost savings opportunities by working with business unit leaders, finance and IT managers to explore the spend data from their business units and any savings or transformation targets that they may have.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities
- Promote the competitive sourcing process, initiate RFPs to Suppliers, Evaluate Supplier cost proposals and recommend business awards
- Adhere to corporate standards of reporting for cost savings and avoidance.
- Meet regularly with Global business leads to identify Global (Enterprise) licensing opportunities
- University Degree
- 5-7+ years' experience within Indirect/Direct Procurement with experience in negotiating services SOWs and Software deals.
- Global procurement experience negotiating and contracting with major IT suppliers
- Competency in procurement processes and IT contract terminology
- Exceptional client relationship skills with ability to build strong internal and external relations
- High level of verbal and written communication effectiveness; ability to conduct presentations to large audiences.
- Ability to prioritize and manage work on multiple projects occurring simultaneously
- strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency in SAP and ServiceNOW would be ideal.
- Proven experience executing Global deals with strategic IT suppliers
- Experience creating high quality recommendations and presentations based on robust analysis
- Ability to identify and execute cost-saving and process improvement opportunities
- Advanced skills to conduct mathematical and other quantitative analyses
- Excellent data management/analysis skills
- Ability to adapt and understand different cultures and impact on business requirements on different geographies and stakeholder groups.
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
- Persuades and influences through highly developed written and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate at VP and above levels and demonstrate confidence to deliver a first-class IT procurement service
