Requirements:
? Ph.D. degree in science (e.g.: genetics, biochemistry), statistics,
computer science, or closely related field.
? Minimum three (3) years of experience as a highly motivated and
proactive bioinformatics scientist, bioinformatics software engineer,
scientific programmer, or an equivalent role in NGS data analysis /
pipeline development.
? Extensive experience with (1) programming languages such as C, C++ or
Java, (2) scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, Perl, or Lua, (3) data
analysis tools such as R, Julia, or Octave, and (4) shell programming
such as Bourne shell or Bash.
o Experience with Linux-based development, test and deployment
environments (the entire software development lifecycle)
o Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, or commercial RDBMS
o Experience with the web application development process.
o Experience working with Git or equivalent tools, and ideally with GNU
autotools as well
? Highly self-motivated individual with great work ethics.

responsibilities:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
? Work closely with multiple-discipline R&D and product development
teams to collect NGS data analysis pipeline requirements, develop
requirement documents, and specify the development plans;
? Design, implement, and test production-grade pipeline software for
different NGS applications, e.g.: NIPT and mNGS (from FASTQ to
biological annotation);
? Interact with bioinformatic scientists to co-develop and integrate
bioinformatic algorithms into the pipeline software.
