responsibilities:
Scope: In this role candidates will ensure that the risk to the organization's information posed by a variety of cyber threats is minimized. The ideal candidate will establish protocols so that when incidents occur, they are dealt with promptly and effectively and the chance of that type of incident recurring is minimized. Candidates will be responsible for researching the latest information technology security trends to implement and update the company's information security strategy. In this role candidates will be responsible for developing and implementing the security standards and best practices for the organization. The ideal candidate will be able to identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management. In this role candidates will be responsible for educating and training staff on system security best practices and configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining security infrastructure software and hardware. Daily activities will include tracking the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills.
- Experience in computing and information security, security policy development, security education, network penetration testing, application vulnerability assessments, risk analysis and compliance testing.
- Knowledge of information security standards (e.g., PCI, ISO 27001, etc.), privacy and data confidentiality (e.g., SOX, ITGC, etc.) and security principles for risk identification and analysis.
- BA or BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- Interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.
