-JOB TITLE: iEN Release Manager
Verizon is looking for Release Managers to oversee the management, planning, scheduling, and controlling of the iEN software build through every stage and environment involved, including testing and deploying software releases. Scheduling, coordinating and managing releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolio streams
- Build and maintain the IT Release Calendar by working closely with the IT release managers from different portfolios across IT and centralizing view of all releases
- Assist in project management and interdependencies for milestone adherence to make sure that the integrity of the release can be measured
- Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, quality, and schedule
- Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Business Go/No-Go reviews, and Milestone Reviews
- Manage up and provide reporting as required to ensure release
- Coordinate E2E Production Release activities
o Ensures release integrity for all related systems
o Communicates "in production" status
o Implementation - story validation, code traceability, go/NO go, Production sign-off, user feedback
- Coordinates ME Lab and Early Engagement Process
o Coordinate ME Lab/vendor dependencies
o Ensure certification as part of feature readiness
o Address lab related impediments
o Coordinate from Early Engagement to feature prioritization
MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
Applicant should be proficient (expert in some) in most of the key technical skills. In addition to that, some soft skills are also required to make the communication easier and the coordination between different teams go more smoothly.
Technical skills:
- Computer Science or an equivalent degree
- Experience with system dev, testing or release management processes
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines
- Experience in working with DevOps and Agile methodologies
- Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
- Expertise in computer programming
- Knowledge of traditional agile methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban
- Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating system
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Project management skills, including how to communicate risks and impediments through presentation skills
- Problem-solving and analytics skills
- Team and time management skills
DESIRED SKILLS:
Vz Network services previous experience would be a plus

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Computer Science or an equivalent degree/experience
- Experience with system dev, testing or release management processes
- Experience in working with DevOps and Agile methodologies, specifically with Scaled Agile framework (SAFe) with any SAFe or AGILE certifications a plus
LOGISTICS:
Standard 9-5, 2nd shift
Periodic travel (once every 12 weeks possible)
