Description:
- The individual will be a part of Production Support team to support applications running on mainframe Z/OS and Midrange. Below are the responsibilities.
- Provide incident and problem management services, as well as communications for all high priority production impacting issues.
- End to end Level 3 production support for the applications assigned.
- React quickly to production Abends/issues, fix the issue and restore the application to BAU as soon as possible to meet critical SLA/OLA.
- Creates, updates, completes Remedy tickets for all production events.
- Manages triage events for all severities, drive to restoral and root cause identification. Supports change, supervise production implementation.
- Analyze issue, identify the root cause, suggest fix and create design for development team to install the fix.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to the customer experience and challenge the status quo to protect or restore the experience.
- Accountable for overall stability for the LOB supported.
- Identify improvement opportunities and ensure Corrective Action Records are documented and completed.
- Up to 5 years of experience in mainframe and Midrange.
- Good analytical and technical skills.
- Technology Experience in the following skills:
- Mainframe -COBOL, JCL, VSAM, HOGAN, IMS DB, Easytrieve, Endevor, CA7.
- Midrange- Java, .Net, JCL, COBOL, RHEL (Linux), MS Windows, IBM DB2, DB2 LUW, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Splunk, App Dynamics, IBM Datastage, CA7, Kafka
- Solid work experience on utilities like SORT/File Manager.
- Develop/build new Easytrieve modules to generate adhoc reports.
- Knowledge on Incident and Problem Management process.
- Knowledge on DB2 database would be an added advantage.
- Should be proactive, flexible with support.
- Good written and verbal communication Skills.
- Knowledge on Financial Services domain.
- Knowledge on Consumer will be an added advantage.
- Understanding on Business continuity Plan and disaster recovery processes.
