As the leader of our technical team, you'll be tasked with rallying the engineering team towards long-term
technical goals. Enforcing best practices and helping to drive our platform to the next level.
We are looking to bring an innovative new financial product to the market that is going to help individuals
with their financial and credit goals in a sound and responsible way that is not currently available on the
market. It is important that you share that vision and passion in helping people improve their chances of
financial success.
You must be comfortable with, and preferably have experience in, working in a startup within the FinTech
space. Recognizing the risks involved but not shying away from the challenges. Understanding the
regulatory and financial sector difficulties and challenges with a proven track record of building industry
leading platforms and applications. Put security and reliability first.
Our engineering team is looking to expand significantly and we will look to you to help identify and
properly assess top talent, while also working with a small team of existing engineers. With this expansion
new technology and development approaches will be considered and implemented, processes and
procedures will need to be in place and adhered to, which we will look to you for assistance in
implementing.
What you need for this position
? BSCS or equivalent technical degree preferred.
? 7 to 10+ years of experience successfully leading development of software.
? In depth knowledge of developing fintech applications and platforms.
? Prior experience in infrastructure architecture preferred.
? Prior experience with AWS serverless services and event oriented architecture preferred.
? Experience building highly scalable systems and guiding decisions for evolution of software
development within the team/organization
? Experience with our existing tech stack: AWS lambdas, dynamodb, AppSync, SQS, SNS, VPCs,
API Gateways, Cloudwatch, IAM, Cognito and associated design patterns, Angular, RXJS,
NGXS, TypeScript, NodeJS, OOP, Serverless Framework, CI/CD, GitHub, Jira/Confluence
? Obtain and maintain regulatory compliance certifications. SOC2 experience is a plus.
? Hire and manage senior technical talent
? Willingness to be hands on when required.
