Job Description
The Senior Salesforce Developer is responsible for the development and implementation of functionality/applications implemented on/integrated with the Salesforce.com platform to track accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, cases, campaigns and other custom objects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ownership of all technical aspects of Salesforce.com, including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, third party applications, AppExchange products, and custom code
- Develop in Visualforce, Apex, Java, and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions
- Technical leadership, setting best practices including integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement
- Seek out ways to utilize SFDC to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace
- Define, communicate, and manage a change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications/code and updates to existing applications/code
- Operational support of Salesforce.com, resolving common problems and trouble tickets (where appropriate)
- Collaborate with the Salesforce Administrator to manage the user requests from the organization
- Other related duties as assigned
- Extensive developer experience on CRM/SalesForce.com
- In-depth understanding of SFDC CRM application (Sales and Service Cloud) capabilities and constraints
- Knowledge of Force.com development best practices
- Experience integrating data into SalesForce from multiple data sources using tools including DataLoader
- Experience gathering and presenting information from multiple sources in a single UI
- Experience architecting and building solutions within the SalesForce Portal
- Adept at developing/designing within Salesforce.com (manage fields/relationships, workflow rules, approval processes, page layouts, security, validation rules, email, custom buttons/links, etc.)
- Data manipulation and cleaning
- strong documentation and training skills
- Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team focused over-delivering customers' needs
- strong technical foundation including; Advanced structured programming - APEX, Force.com, .Net, Java, etc., understanding of relational database concepts and structures, knowledge of SQL, structured system analysis and design methods, etc.
- Experience in a nonprofit setting and an understanding of fund raising fundamentals preferred
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects in varying complexity

- Self-motivated, able to work within a project-based environment
- Detail oriented and organized with an ability to meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field required; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Nine (9) years of experience developing within SalesForce required
- Three (3) years of experience working with software and hardware vendors required
- Experience with single sign?on solution development / implementation and/or dashboards / reports development projects preferred
- Experience working in non-profit organizations is highly preferred
- Experience working with service providers/IT vendors is desirable
- SalesForce.com Certified Force.com Developer certification required
- SalesForce.com Certified Force.com Advanced Developer certification required
- SalesForce.com Platform Application Builder certification required
- SalesForce.com Service Cloud Consultant certification preferred
- SalesForce.com Lightning Developer certification preferred
