Looking for a payroll analyst for a two year contract in southern Maine.
This role is for one or our best financial clients with offices in NYC, Southern New Jersey, Southern Maine and South Carolina.
Candidates can work partly from home but would need to work a hybrid onsite schedule to sit with the rest of the team some of the time.

SUMMARY OF DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This Payroll Analyst role requires advanced knowledge and understanding of the payroll operating environment, business processes and procedures, and transaction lifecycle for a large, multi-entity, multistate company,
- This individual is experienced in Identifying, investigating and troubleshooting non-standard operational / reporting / process issues.
- Provides recommendations or escalates issues to appropriate area
- Provides regular analysis and/or reporting to support business partners, functional areas or centers of expertise
- Requires working knowledge of the functional area and/or business areas supported
- Moderate level of complexity in operational / reporting / process and/or analysis function requiring a short to medium term focus
- May represent the group or participate on projects / initiatives and/or at meetings across the organization
- Provides training to others on best practices, processes, etc. as well as provide hands-on support in the completion of business-as-usual functions
-Resolves issues and problems by conferring with staff, management, other internal departments, outside contacts as necessary
- Works cross-functionally as required to support strategic initiatives and improve processes

Education/Experience:
- Requires working knowledge of the functional area and/or business areas supported

-Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of staff

- Need to have a good foundation in payroll
- Experience in a large company dealing with multiple states and legal entities (TD has 6 legal entities and works in 44 states)
- Report writing and data analysis
- Ability to diagnose problem and if necessary and be hands on to address the problem
- Help with entries/uploads
- Open to people from all different fields (does not need to come from the banking industry)
1.) Experience as a Payroll Analyst - 5 years
2.) Experience with report writing and data analysis

5.) Experience working in a large company (that spans across multiple states and legal entities)
