The Sr Business Analyst -Finance (BA) acts as an intermediary between the financial business and technical community. The BA will work with IT project teams and business clients within all areas across financial functions (AR, AP, Accounting) to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which applications and solutions are developed. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with business partners. This role will also provide support for ERP and financial systems.

responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Lead in the maintenance and administration of financial systems in partnership with internal resources, support business process and technology. Test assumptions and data
- Interact with cross functional teams to ensure business processes and rules are documented to ultimately determine areas for improved efficiencies.
- Learn business processes and relevant software technologies participating in implementation of new systems and solutions following the validation process and procedures
- Research and recommend new technology solutions aligned with IoT and Industry 4.0
- Support financial business information systems team in performing system testing, system implementations, business process improvements, system upgrades, system optimizations, production activities and end user engagement improvement initiatives
- Provide support to finance staff on defining and documenting system processes, data flow, controls and interfaces for financial information systems. Provide analytical and technical support to team members and end users
- Gather and analyze customer requirements. Draft clear and concise functional design documentation and testing plans and scripts
- Ensure functional work activities are conducted in compliance with technology and SOX requirements, related policies and procedures, and corporate objectives.
- Actively promotes safety rules and awareness. Demonstrates good safety practices at all times including the appropriate use of protective equipment. Reports and takes initiative to correct safety & environmental hazards.
- Actively demonstrates the values of accountability, communication, customer commitment, entrepreneurial spirit, integrity, safety and teamwork.
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with up to 5 years progressive experience in analytical roles of increasing responsibility, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in both verbal and written communication.
- Experience with IT Product Life Cycle a strong plus.
- Experience working in a SOX/GMP Validated environment a strong plus.
