Responsibilities
Perform accounting, reporting and financial analysis as assigned for the enterprise. This role is responsible for complex and multifunctional areas of accounting, maintaining proper accounting and financial control through reconcilations and analytical analysis related to assigned functional areas. Actively participate and ensure timely and accurate financial statement reporting for Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP), tax and other regulatory reporting. Conduct independent accounting-based research and complex analytical projects. Supports internal and external audits of an organization and its subsidiaries. Develop and maintain working relationships with operational departments and external vendors. May supervise accounting staff. Supports the budget process. If assigned to work on federal contracts, this role may be required to undergo and pass a security background clearance per federal government regulations Additional Job Details Participates in and implements monthly financial close, prepare and supervises the assignments of the staff accountants to include general ledger, construction-in-process (CIP), fixed assets and leases. Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly management financial reporting package, regulatory reporting and/or executive summary schedules
- Experience Level: BA in Accounting or Finance plus minimum 6+ years of direct relevant experience.
- Uses professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to solve complex accounting issues including the maintenance of internal controls.
- Preference for both US GAAP and Statutory experience.
- Bacherlors (Hard Requirement)
- Advance Excel
- Intermediate Power Point
- Advance Tableau (must know how to build reports)
- Advanced knowledge of excel, power point and familiar with database systems (such as SAS, Sequel, etc.).
- Previous healthcare experience highly desirable.
- Understanding of KP business processes is desirable.
- Ability to independently define, structure, and execute complex analytical exercises.
- Possess solid problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to structure projects with uncertain (or yet to defined) outcomes.
- Must be extremely excel savvy - advanced formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation, "if" statements.
- Top candidates will likely have 5 + years experience.
- Knowledge of financial statements.
