Key Responsibilities:
- Exemplify the vision, purpose, culture, and values (truth, transparency, teamwork and trust) that are the cornerstone of Newell Brands.
- Leadership over technical release strategy and management as it relates to our digital technology commerce platforms.
- Own the release management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and managing releases, and deployment checklist and processes.
- Partner with cross functional areas to ensure dependencies are accounted for related to the software release. Partners would include other system owners, product owners, business stakeholders, Engineering, DevOps, Security, Legal and QA
- Partner with QA organization to coordinate all regression testing activities prior to code deployments to production.
- Ensures that Jira Align/Jira are up to date for all items included in each release and coordinating with technical writing on review and editing of release note documentation for each release.
- Ensure all digital technology projects adhere to a proper change control process to minimize any adverse effects to the working environment and its end users
- Develops, documents and publishes change management standards, plans and procedures
- Drive process improvements with our release procedures, to make them more repeatable, consistent, and less error-prone (CI/CD improvements, automation testing, any future release frameworks)
