The Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Dauten Family Center (DFC) has developed FITT-BD, a clinician and
patient online platform for people with bipolar disorders. The same platform is used for the HAIL research study and
the DCBI website.
The DFC is looking for a highly skilled and talented Software Engineer who will work as part of a DFC team to develop,
maintain, and expand the network web portal, fitt-bd.org, as well as has experience in data management and analytics.

responsibilities:
Maintain, fix and update software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying
systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software
development lifecycle
? Understand back-end, server set-up and integration of the front-end with the back-end for seamless data
transfer and storage
? Develop, maintain, and improve automation for new features and regression test cases
? Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution
development and proposed solutions
? Gather requirements, code comments and clear code
? Export and make reports from MySQL database
? Improve operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures
? Protect operations by keeping information confidential
? Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
? Accomplish engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed
? First and foremost, developing software our users need
? Collaborate with team to brainstorm and create new products to achieve goals
? Make informed decisions quickly and taking ownership of services and applications at scale
? Understand business needs and know how to create the tools to manage them
? Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
? Optimize applications for performance and scalability
