The Applications Development Team is responsible for developing and maintaining a statewide data collection program called WISEdata. The WISEdata system is responsible for capturing data from public school districts, charter schools, and private choice schools in client . WISEdata gathers information needed for state and federal reporting requirements. The WISEdata system is also a tool that improves the quality of school and educational data. WISEdata functions using an application programming interface (API) which creates the interoperability protocol for educational software used by school districts. Data collected via the API is also used to feed other vendor systems which streamline data collections and reduce redundancy. In addition, the WISEdata system provides the data used by DPI's WISEdash business intelligence and reporting system used for public reporting and by client districts and schools. This position is responsible for vendor communications and coordination in order to meet the agency's strategic goals and initiatives, promoting educational data systems interoperability. This position is also responsible for providing systems analysis, research, and documentation, managing vendor certification testing, performing quality assurance, business analysis, and second-level customer services support. This position will be responsible for the following roles and tasks Responsibilities: ? Communicate with vendors on software requirements, policies, and data submission ? Onboard and recruit new vendors in compliance with the WISEdata E-Fi Integration ? Track vendor software or training issues impacting client schools ? Monitor data quality and software deficiencies ? Coordinate and perform vendor certification testing ? Facilitate vendor and WISEdata user advisory group meetings ? Research and answer second level support tickets related to vendor implementation issues ? Attend vendor user conferences to present, train, and support DPI WISE systems ? Coordinate and train DPI vendor training leads ? Provide documentation on DPI web pages to support vendor system integration needs ? Collaborates with the DPI Customer Services Team Under the general supervision of the Applications Development Team manager, this person will work closely with others to accomplish project objectives, or function independently to accomplish daily work requirements as a member of the Applications Development Team. Objectives, priorities, and deadlines are established in consultation with the department program area leaders, project managers, and the Applications Development Team manager. Professional certification is highly desirable.
