Title: Data Analyst
Location: Remote, CA
Duration: W2Contract
The Sr. Data Analyst is responsible for conducting various data collection and analysis projects, taking the lead in developing data visualization solutions / models in support of data-driven decision making and business strategies.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of MS SQL with ETL (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS) design and development experience required.
- At least one Microsoft Certification, prefer MCSE.
- Minimum five (5) or more years of analytical experience required working within and structuring very large data warehouses (i.e., 'Big Data), creating data visualizations and dashboards in Tableau.
- Expert excel skills working with large data sets. Working knowledge of other BI, Reporting and analytic tools such as PowerBI is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in data wrangling (interpreting, extrapolating and interpolating data) for reports to determine business performance and trends.
- strong analytic, critical thinking, oral and written and interpersonal skills for interacting and collaborating with business staff throughout all levels of the organization; ability to clearly communicate complex business problems and technical solutions.
- A strong visual design aesthetic with an eye for detail to wireframe front end experiences and translate business requirements into visual designs for interactive dashboards.
- Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, computer science, business or related field.
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Team player: "go getter" with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with management, coworkers and business stakeholders
- Work independently with minimal direction,
- Ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently and thrive in a fast paced deadline-driven environment.
- Use data warehousing/business intelligence toolsets to gather, store, and provide access to data to assist in management decision making.
- Design and develop Tableau dashboards and reports by visually translating complex business operational data into actionable insights.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of data relating to operational functions, workflows, business processes. Identify critical business trends and insights by exploiting business operational data.
- Synthesize results of analyses, develop and make recommendations to support informed decision making. Present findings to a technical and non-technical audience.
