job summary: Seeking a candidate with infrastructure operations experience to implement and support our public and Private Cloud-based solutions. In this role, you will be performing or automating administrative and operational tasks based on requests or issues identified by the operations team or the user base. The Cloud Ops team will work with our internal partners to progress the Cloud Transformation program, enabling IT business teams to automate application deployments and modernize some or all components of their apps to reduce dependency on legacy infrastructure. This role requires proficient communication, as well as creative use of available tools to efficiently produce solutions in the cloud technology space. The role will be a member of the Cloud Operations team in US. The initial focuss will be on a new Application Platform that will be used to provide hosted Kubernetes deployments. Goal is to establish a GitOps style operating model with support for Rancher Kubernetes deployment and Dev pipelines. This is a great opportunity to get involved with new technologies and help shape the Cloud implementation within Nomura. The successful candidate will be expected to have the same ethos and appetite for automation, a background in Kubernetes and Gitops, and knowledge of cloud technologies.
