The Role / Responsibilities:
Our ESG Solutions Group is looking for a Product Manager to help lead the continued development of our ESG modelling and analytics solutions for investors. A successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and complex environment with a strong mix of quantitative, technical, and creative acumen. You will be able to articulate a clear product vision blending the needs from various technical and business groups into a bottom-up product roadmap.
You will serve as a voice of the customer and translate user's pain points and jobs-to-be done into actional development opportunities, meeting clients where they need to do their work. You will be responsible for designing solutions based on advanced data-driven insights and leveraging the flow of data across our solution suites. You will be a natural problem solver and ideally possess a strong background in ESG and/or quantitative and modelling based products for the financial services markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive growth for our existing ESG and Sustainable Finance solutions working closely with data consumers (Data Scientists, Quantitative Analysts & Application Engineers) to define their product capability needs and prioritise delivery of those that add most value - ensuring a client focused approach.
- Conduct market research and incorporate client discovery throughout the content development lifecycle, including sample data sets, volatility testing and ongoing customer testing.
- Support client consultancy projects, proof-of-concepts and prototypes to ensure product, market fit.
- Work with model and software developers to create innovative solutions that solve market problems serving as an overall authority on the behaviour of data and modelling capabilities throughout our product suites.
- Define, communicate and analyse success metrics for the products under your remit (e.g. KPIs for revenue and client adoption, competitive positioning)
- Define requirements for external distribution (APIs, services, feeds and applications) of our data and modelling capabilities.
- Contribute to product marketing collateral to support customer and market engagement and drive growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required and graduate/second level degree (Masters or MBA) preferred
- 10+ Years in Product Management or development related roles for client facing financial products
- Experience with product ownership and driving a product vision, strategy and roadmap including creating and owning product development backlog
- Experience working with financial technology with strong technical acumen, including familiarity with APIs
- strong analytical skills and experience in applying data science techniques to build robust data and modelling products
- strong problem-solving, planning, communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of ESG, Climate and Sustainable Finance data preferred
- Experience in building excel-based models incorporating VBA, Macros, add-ins etc. to enhance user experience
