As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be tasked with providing technical assistance to customers regarding various software and remote applications. Main duties include troubleshooting and diagnosing different technical issues, assessing, and understanding user needs, and recommending technical fixes to customers. An ideal candidate will have superior customer service skills and be able to communicate with a wide range of users
Required Skills - 2 years experience in desktop support (Phone, Onsite, or Remote)
Experience working with Windows 10 and the Microsoft Office suite
Ability to wok independently as required
Virtual machine and remote support experience a plus
-Provide desk side support to all internal users
-Provide timely follow-up and status to end users/Service Desk on incidents not resolved immediately.
-Escalate and manage service requests according to defined policies and procedures.
-Assist users with modem/router resets
-Virtual machine troubleshooting
-Remote software support (Repair/re-install)
-Document tickets and fixes
-Use a combination of phone and instant messaging systems to guide users through troubleshooting steps
The shift is: 8 AM to 4:30 PM EST (Wed to Sunday)
