- 10+ years Big Data development experience and BS/MS degree in STEM-related field
- strong development experience designing Big Data solutions using Cloudera Hadoop technology stack including HDFS, NiFi, Hive, Spark, Solr, HBase, Python, Java/Scala
- Proficient in using Cloudera Hadoop (CDP) technology stack including Spark, Hive, Impala, HBase, PySpark, NiFi, Solr
- Develop new tools, code, and services to execute data engineering activities using on-premise Cloudera CDP platform
- Develop data ingestion ETL pipelines for extracting and storing structured and unstructured data in big data environments
- Collaborate with the team on new technologies and alternatives to plan and execute complex tasks
- Independently conduct work on the full-life cycle of data engineering to include analysis, solution design, data pipeline engineering, testing, deployment, and production support
