As Senior Manager for System Test & Automation you will be responsible for managing a team of Automation Framework Developers OR CI (Regression) execution. STA is central to Routing & Switching Protocol organization in Ciena, gating the various releases across different RSP product lines, thereby giving the green light before a product is released. The role encompasses coordinating with the program on the execution timeline and cadence. Continuous Improvement and transforming the Automation Infrastructure to utilize the best industry practices is implicit to the role and thereby you will be expected to take initiatives in the direction. As a leader you would be expected to inspire and motivate the team under you to deliver the best in class services to the rest of the organization.

Responsibilities & Activities:
? A senior leadership position leading a team of SW QA Automation engineers.
? Drive the QA Automation directives while leveraging the best of agile and waterfall
processes, driving innovations and providing consistent measurable automation results.
? Drive new automation processes, standards, tools, training and proposals to facilitate the
best testing environment for meeting time to market pressures in a multisite
? Collaborate with other managers and leaders from across the organization to deliver on
? Partner with solution architects, development, and other QA leaders to improve processes
and timings related to automation planning, executions, failure analysis, and new feature
? Lead Automation enhancements in reporting results, providing timely information to
project leads to make informed quality decisions, and provide analysis tools for tracking
result trends and quality benchmarks.
? Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the automation team to improve
coverage, capability and framework of the automation environment.
