Position Summary

The Medical Assistant collaborates closely with Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Assistants and other administrative staff to ensure site operations are efficient and safe.

Hours M-F 530am-2pm

PR is $20 to start. Open to increasing pay from there based on performance.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assists customers in monitoring mid-turbinate COVID-19 test

Responsible for the accurate and complete documentation in the accessioning log, lab log, and any other site documentation as delegated by the Lead Medical Assistant and Regional Site Director

Ensures proper and complete patient identification on requisitions and specimens

Responsible for specimen labeling and preparation for laboratory analysis

Performs clerical duties necessary for specimen processing, e.g. filing or scanning paperwork

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, however, in a time of crisis, may need to be able to assist individuals.

Required Education and Experience

Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA), Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification, and/or combination of relevant experience and qualifications based on site needs and state requirements.
