job summary:
Purpose & Scope: The primary focus of this position is to effectively provide project support to Portfolion Relationship & Sourcing Management. Responsibilities can include project management, data analysis, handling certain aspects of a project and overall assistance.

Key characteristics include: team player, attention to detail, customer service, work independently, multi-task within a project and across projects, takes initiative, flexible and courteous. Must be technology-savvy.

- Support tactical aspects of a project such as scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and presentation decks, summarizing discussion points and capturing action items / decisions (e.g. meeting minutes and follow-up).

- Ability to support a Project/Program Manager with limited direction to drive project/program success.

- Follow-up on action items and track risks.

- Ability to identify, organize and work with informational details under a general framework.

- Ability to decipher and maintain confidential information.

Technical Skills: Strong Skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project); Basic PM tracking tools and methodology; Solid understanding of virtual collaboration tools (WebEx) and SharePoint

- Define and develop robust schedules and project plans including dependencies, scope, milestones, and objectives; report project progress

- Manage projects within established scope, schedule, and budget while meeting high standards of quality.

- Lead individuals, teams and other resources associated with project activity both internal and external to Astellas.

- Ability to effectively communicate with a broad spectrum of audiences, teams and levels of management.

- Manage change and/or conflict within an effective, timely and appropriate manner.

- Facilitate and lead effective face-to-face and virtual meetings, utilizing strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

- Ability to decipher and maintain confidential information.

- Ability to summarize a discussion and highlight salient decisions and follow-up items

- Manage risks and issues and drive mitigation and resolution

- Ability to embed and manage change within the organization

- Ability to facilitate decision making

- Ability to be objective and lead without authority; effectively identify and manage key stakeholders and demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence

- Adaptablity and effectiveness with a high level of ambiguity

- Ability to track and assist business with managing projects

- Excellent organizational and communication skills, and commitment to meeting deadlines

- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work with minimal supervision

- Ability to prioritize assignments to ensure critical issues are addressed and/or brought to the attention of their direct manager

- Self-motivated and detail orientated

Education: Bachelors Degree

Experience: Project management experience within pharmaceutical industry.
