Position: Account Manager

The Account Manager is the primary client contact for the successful management of an account or accounts on a day-to-day basis with a focus on the execution and completion of client projects.

  • Provide exceptional client service, consistent with client account service standards, including:

    • Proactively manage the account and be responsive to the client's expectations and needs in project execution on a timely basis
    • Independently provide clear and concise communication and information to client, both verbally and via email
    • Prepare for and lead internal and client status meetings
    • Accurately prepare client meeting materials (i.e. agenda, slides, meeting minutes, etc.)
    • Attend and contribute to onsite client meetings as required
    • Understand and ensure the team follows all client required standard operating procedures and requirements
  • Overall responsibility for facilitating moving and tracking of assigned projects on a proactive basis.
  • Overall responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of financial deliverables (i.e. budgets, invoices, Totality, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate records within client chosen publication technology program (i.e. Datavision or PubSTRAT)
  • Associate degree (or equivalent); Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 years account management experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries
  • Certified Medical Publications Professional via the credentialing program offered by the International Society of Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) preferred
  • Demonstrate extensive understanding of the clinical development process and how this can be impacted by strategic communication planning
  • Demonstrate leadership ability within a team setting
  • Maintain a professional attitude internally and with clients, even in challenging situations
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly changing environment
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times
  • Travel as required
  • Excellent financial acumen
  • Ability to evaluate, interpret and analyze both written and verbal communications
  • Excellent project management skills, including organization, prioritization and delegation skills
  • Flexible, deadline oriented, and ability to work as part of a multifunctional team
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters cooperation and teamwork
