Scheduler

Contract position: Project Scheduler located near Pensacola, FL is needing for a leading chemical manufacturer used in various commercial and industrial products. This role will be responsible for outage, maintenance, and project schedules as well as resource allocation for the plant portfolio. This person needs to be well versed in Primavera as well as plant operations and maintenance scheduling. Candidates with scheduling experience from a heavy industrial environment is preferred (chemical, paper, steel, construction, EPC). Responsibilities for the Scheduler

  • Plan and prepare project schedules for preliminary and detail engineering deliverables, procurement, fabrication and installation
  • Draws up schedule for each project assigned to establish sequence and lead time of each operation
  • Provide updates through software such as Primavera P6
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules
  • Prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment
Requirements for the Scheduler

  • Must have at least three (3) years of project scheduling experience within a manufacturing or construction environment (heavy industrial experience is ideal)
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera (or similar) scheduling software
  • Experience handling the project schedules for outage based projects is ideal
