Application Engineer

Permanent position: Large Pipe Manufacturer is looking for a Regional Technical Manager for their Houston location. Qualified candidates must have management experience and pipe manufacturing and installation experience.

Responsibilities for the Application Engineer
  • Responsible for the Value Engineering, Marketing support, Application Engineering, and Technical Services and functions within the Region
  • Ensure that the necessary level of quality technical management service isbeing provided by the Technical team to all the clients within the Region
  • Coordinate with the Product Engineering Division to implement new productsor processes
  • Coordinate with the Costing Department to optimize all products and provide the required training to the Regional Technical Team
  • Coordinate and communicate VETM activities with our local managers and supervisors, participate in our regular production and leadership meetings,providing status and plan
Requirements for the Application Engineer

  • Must have Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Must have 6 - 10 Years of Engineering experience with 5-7 years of technical management experience with fiberglass material or other composite materials
  • Must have knowledge of composites and fiberlass piping design, manufacturing and installation
  • Must have ability to analyse the costs and benefits of different designs and production methods
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% if needed
