Project Coordinator

Contract position: A commercial builder is seeking a Project Coordinator to help assist the team in the field with clerical and project accounting duties. The Project Coordinator will assist field personnel with clerical duties and project accounting functions. Qualified candidates will have experience supporting construction projects with data input and basic accounting.

Responsibilities for the Project Coordinator

  • Set-up and maintain project files including contacts, change orders, bonds, insurance certificates, lien releases etc.
  • Assist Project Superintendent with preparation of subcontract payment packaging for processing
  • Perform accounting functions such as submittal of purchase orders, jobsite check preparation, submittal of payroll information, vouchers, etc.
  • Manage safety program including accumulation of hours and planning of safety awards
  • Order office supplies and manage office equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Process weekly field payroll.
Requirements for the Project Coordinator

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field preferred but not required.
  • Experience supporting construction projects with basic accounting and data input required.
  • Must be able to train in the Los Angeles area for a week.
