Permanent position: A prominent machine builder and designer in the Grand Rapids area is seeking a Sales Manager. The Sales Manager will be responsible for business development, and also managing existing customer accounts. The Sales Manager should have experience in the machine build industry. This is a customer-facing role, so the candidate should be comfortable in front of customers. The candidates should also be able to troubleshoot automation equipment. Requirements for the Sales Manager
- Responsible for developing new and managing existing key customer accounts for automation equipment
- Interact with suppliers and colleagues from Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management and Manufacturing to solicit input establishing project proposals
- 5+ years sales experience
- Ability to talk to customers
- Must know how to follow up on sales leads
