Process Engineer

Contract position: A Process Engineer is needed for a top 15 pharmaceutical company in the world in the Cambridge, MA area. This role will establish a process for gathering data from handwritten records and create training documentation. No per diem is available.

Responsibilities for the Process Engineer
  • The contractor will be directly responsible for developing a standalone, automated or semi-automated process to optimize the acquisition of defined data points from executed manufacturing batch records, using a combination of Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Image Recognition, machine learning and file manipulation.
  • The resulting process will facilitate a streamlined entry and validation method as to drastically reduce the amount of time required to collect and sanitize data under manual conventions. Training on source file structures and business need will be provided; no previous pharmaceutical or biotech experience is required.
Requirements for the Process Engineer

  • Entry level software developer, some training provided. Bachelors required.
  • Experience in machine learning with an emphasis in OCR and image recognition required. Proficiency in python, C or Java required. Matlab experience preferred. Tesseract or tensorflow library experience or equivalent opensource library experience required.
